Along its coast we find an astonishing Magellanic penguin rookery with over 600.000 penguins........ San Lorenzo's coastline hosts wide open beaches as well as cliff areas. Estancia San Lorenzo has a team of professional Park Rangers who are responsible for the conservation of the natural and cultural site. Out visitors can interact with them to learn about the latest news on the penguin rookery. For over 40 years we have encouraged the research on penguins, working with both national and foreign scientists. Back on the farm, our guests can visit the interpretation center and the traditional farm premises, and taste an exquisite lamb BBQ. We also offer other menu options, including a vegetarian menu.

The Estancia San Lorenzo Natural Reserve is located within the Peninsula Valdés Protected Natural Area, 160 kilometers from the city of Puerto Madryn, in the province of Chubut, Patagonia Argentina. On its coasts is located a colony of more than 600,000 Magellanic penguins that can be visited between September 7 and March 31 of each year, making it the largest continental colony in the world. In addition to having the possibility of observing these wonderful animals in their natural habitat, in the area we can find marine fossils that emerge on the cliffs and ravines that drain into the sea. Thanks to the diversity of attractions, you can choose to travel different trails that vary according to the area to visit and their difficulty. You can enjoy the Penguin Land option, which consists of a mini trekking through the area with the highest concentration of animals. Enjoy a different day in the beautiful San Lorenzo ravine, a place that invites you to live a unique and memorable experience. This carefully planned horseback ride heads to the picturesque hills surrounding the charming town of San Lorenzo. These hills are completely covered with green grasslands where the livestock of local residents graze freely, offering a pastoral scene that connects you with the tranquility and beauty of rural life.

It is an excellent opportunity to explore the trails in the Montana Forest and contemplate the secrets of nature. The tour begins in the ravine, a starting point that allows us to enter this fascinating ecosystem. From there, we begin to ascend along paths that border the river, offering us the opportunity to listen to the murmur of the water and the singing of the birds. As we climb, the landscape transforms, taking us along the slopes of the mountain until we reach various panoramic points. At these points, the reward is a spectacular view of the city of Salta, framed by lush vegetation.

Group size no more than nine people with breakfast and lunch with wine included. Unlike most other Mendoza agencies we actually enter Aconcagua Park and hike for one hour. An extravagant barbecue lunch with limitless wine is also included. Travel the old Trans-Andean railway via minibus on this 8-hour small-group tour. With your guide, pass the snow-capped Cordón del Plata and stop by the turquoise Potrerillos lake on your way to the mountain town of Uspallata. After passing through Penitentes Ski Resort you’ll reach Aconcagua Park. On your return back you will have the opportunity to stop and see Puente Del Inca, a naturally formed bridge over a steep ravine. Once in Uspallata you’ll enjoy an afternoon lunch of Argentine asado (local style barbecue - not gourmet) before concluding your tour at approximately at 5:30pm.
